Babylon’s Fall Devs Will Not “Reduce the Scale of Development” Despite Slow Start
Babylon’s Fall the latest online co-op RPG title from Platinum Games had a rather quiet launch, but despite its humble beginnings developer Platinum Games aren’t going to slow down on its development.
In a statement released by the developer, Platinum explained there “there are no plans to reduce the scale of development on Babylon’s Fall. Content up to the end of Season 2 is now practically complete and we have started work on Season 3 and beyond.”

The developer has already outlined a slew of content following Babylon’s Fall’s launch which included a free The Eternal Ziggurat Battle Pass covering a new game mode Duels, an upcoming large-scale update, a limited-time event crossover with NieR Automata taking place at the end of the month, and additional story update called Resurgence happening in April.

A recent livestream previewed NieR Automata crossover content for Babylon’s Fall including 2B outfits, Amusement Park location, enemies and more
In a recent livestream, the devs revealed a new chapter, map, faction and weapon type heading to the large-scale update on March 22nd this week. A new game mode called Gaunlet plus more.
The slow start hasn’t seemed to deter the development team, as they strive “to continue to provide new content for the game and make improvements based on player feedback…” The launch was quite close to the arrival of Elden Ring and other major title launches this month such as Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
While the roadmap of content seems pretty solid, with a lot happening over the next couple of months, will be enough to entice new players to pick up the game is too soon to tell. The crossover event with NieR Automata might sway some 2B fans to pick it up since we probably won’t be getting any more Nier.
