It was announced last week that both the brain-punk Action-RPG Scarlet Nexus and the latest entry in the series, Tales of Arise would receive crossover content. Bandai Namco has announced the free patch update version 1.08 which will be “coming soon” will add these additions.

Shown in the latest trailer is the “Blazing Sword” the one that Alphen uses in Tales of Arise, but in Scarlet Nexus it’s an exclusive Yuito weapon. Another Alphen featured item is the “Broken Iron Mask”. Players will also get to don a cute “Owlet Doll” attachment, as if the cosmetic choices weren’t enough in Scarlet Nexus!

Another addition heading to the game is the new “Very Easy” difficulty. This option is designed for those who just want to embrace the game’s story (and trust me there is a lot of it), and for those who are maybe a little unfamiliar with the combat. So if you want to just chill with the characters, Yuito and Kasane without the worry of those pesky Others giving you a run for your money, this might be a mode for you.

It was previously revealed Scarlet Nexus and Tales of Arise would be getting some crossover items. Tales of Arise will be seeing the likes of Yuito’s Myoho Muramasa weapon and a Baki-chan attachment.

A new story demo is also underway, with progress carrying over to the full version, meaning you won’t lose where you left off. It will feature the first few chapters of the game, giving you just a taste of what it’s like to join the Other Suppression Force.

This isn’t the first time Scarlet Nexus has gained some post-launch features, in part receiving new gameplay options, new camera, further options for enemy lock-on aim assist and more. The developer has also stated they want to continue the IP with a Scarlet Nexus sequel but with a more mature focus.
